supercharger for 460

I'm thinking about supercharging my EFI 460 with a vortech supercharger. Is there any one out there that has done this? Let me know how it came out.

Havent done it personally, but I recall somewhere in like the last month or so another topic of this type coming up in this forum.. you may want to check back a couple pages to see...Im quite sure they had a massive sharing of info on it.

supercharger for 460

I have a '94 F-250 4X4 with a Vortech-supercharged EFI460.I'm well pleased with the power it makes! It only has 5psi of boost. I've also added many other upgrades.The only problem is the 460 was making so much power the stock E4OD trans couldn't handle it(the torque convertor went).I'll have it fixed(and "beefed-up") to handle the extra power. You live and learn, I guess.If I could go back, the E4OD would've been made to handle the power better. In it's current set-up my truck makes around 420bhp,and close to 600 lb.-ft. of torque...TOO MUCH for a stock E4OD.It ran extremely well before the tranny had problems.Traction(the lack of it..) will be a major issue. Good luck getting your supercharger.
