Some of the parts are pretty affordable. I just don't know if there quality is as good as a place like LMC? The always have tailights and stuff for sale.
My experience with carparts.com(JC Whitney online parts house) has been hit or miss. LMC is not a sponsor of this website. Try some of the sponsors on the left side of the FTE weppage.

Reason: more info
I've both the LMC and National Parts Depot catalogs. The pricing is actually pretty close with most items. I'd work with National Parts first to support the sponsor.

You haven't bought from anyone else if you believe lmc sells quality parts.
lmc is a middleman, buying from Peter and selling to Paul, raising the prices in the process. Many of the parts they carry are imported from China.
Look on this very page for links to FTE sponsors who offer free online catalogs.
lmc is not an FTE sponsor.

I've bought stuff from Car Parts several times; they are great. It's probably the same stuff LMC has anyway. Only it's much cheaper. LMC is usually pretty pricey.
The only real way to fiqure the best bang for the buck on replacement parts is for a group of people to compare the parts they bought firsthand live in person.
Knowing there are only a certain amount of companies manufacturing these parts this would be the only way to do it.
Over the internet people can't seem them
Knowing that:
Therefore,I recommend the company that offers the best service and public relations.
Having companies on FTE setting themselves up for possible a bad name with consequences they should go above and beyond the others that don't sponsor FTE.
IMO,.....LMC doesn't sponsor FTE because they have so many people suggest them anyway.
Why pay for something when you get it free ?
We have so many companies willing to give to get your business, I suggest people deal with them and voice your concerns with those companies.
I looked up the same door handle in my Mac's catalog, it lists for $14.95. Blue Oval Truck Parts is $24.95. Car Parts on eBay lists it for $6.90. I'm not disrespecting the wonderful sponsors that make a site as nice as this possible, but if I can find some place that lists a part for cheaper, I'll go with them. Plain and simple. My 2 cents.

I don't think caparts.com and Car Parts is the same place. Car Parts is an eBay seller, not a website. Could be wrong though.
Besides LMC just raised prices in their catalog for stuff you can get cheaper elsewhere. I recently bought stuff from BOTP and loved dealing with them.
I have only ever bought new side mirrors from LMC, well actually my girlfriend bought them for me for christmas. I didn't know about the other companies until I joined this site very recently. I plan on using the sponsers and was checking prices against LMC and decided to check some of the Items carparts had and they were so cheap in price I just was curious if anybody had bought from them.
In many cases, you get what you pay for. It is always good to price check because there are some major differences in prices, but not quality. I mainly deal with Broncograveyard (FTE sponser) and Dennis Carpenter (who is not). I would get all my stuff through the graveyard because they sell parts cheaper than D.C. and get many of their parts through D.C. One problem, I have had some difficulty with items on backorder through graveyard, so I end up going with D.C. I revert to LMC when I can't find an item through any of the sponser sites. Of course I'm looking for NOS or OEM parts and only get aftermarket if the other isn't available. Remember, a used OEM part is better than an aftermarket new part in many cases, so junkyards and classifieds come in handy.
