its the farthest foreward hunk of aluminum on the top of the motor, has a rectangular resevoir on top of it with a round plug with an allen head on it. that plug is how you check it, ours arent prone to leaks but the 99-03's have o-ring failures due to the retrofitted quick disconnects on the pump outlets

I have oil that apears to be coming from that area and running down onto the crossmember under the truck, it's been kinda cold and extremely windy here lately and haven't been able to locate source of leak.
