Anyone have a 2008 with a V10? Post pics in this thread. Anything and everything you can, of anything V10-related in or on your truck. Underhood pictures, vents, exhaust, dashboard, everything.
With the body redesign, I want everyone to have a handle on what it looks like these days
they are helmholtz resonators (im pretty sure) They help to reduce air intake noises and are tuned to certain frequencies (hence the need for more than one)
Shouldn't effect performance one way or the other and just makes it a little quieter

JKBrad, what was the MSRP on your truck? I have a similar truck, but an 05 diesel and am just wondering the cost difference between the two. Are dealers willing to deal on them like they are on the diesels? I got 10K off MSRP and they are currently offering 11K off at my local dealers in Houston.

I ordered mine with everything except heated/memory seats, navigation and the taigate step. MSRP was $45,700. I got $5,200 off of that, with no rebates at the time. I had 9k in equity, so it didn't hurt so bad. Each dealer is different and each truck is different when it comes to negotiation time.
You'll probably have to order the truck you want, or contact Woodhouse Ford in Blair, Nebraska. Google them. They stock quite a few of V10 trucks.
If you happen to find a V10, or any gas Super Duty for that matter (that's not a 5.4 stripper fleet truck), consider yourself lucky. A friend of mine is looking for a 5.4 XLT 4x4 crew cab, and they're all sold out in the San Antonio area. Then he checked V10s, One dealer had a fully decked King Ranch and it's gone now. Just a few years ago, 5.4 gas trucks were always the last to sell. V10s have always sold well in this area though. I see at least one or two on the road every day.
I see screaming deals in the paper every day for the 6.4 powered trucks. In my opinion Ford just wants to get rid of them. There are lots of MPG complaints and with diesel 30-50 cents higher than regular gas, sales are way down.
That is the reason that I am not considering another Ford Diesel. The 08's have terrible mileage and maint. is very high. I rented one for a month and it drove/towed excellent but I'm not willing to pay that much and chance having a problem when the warranty is out. I have also considered getting a low mileage 06-07 6.0 to replace mine. Thanks.
JKBrad, Thanks for the tip on woodhouse, they do have a lot of v10s listed. Unfortiunately they dont quite have what i want right now but will definitelty check back when its time to but, might be woth going to nebraska over having to wait for two months.
