Whistling noise

Whistling noise
During these really cold days in Wisconsin I can often hear whistling noise coming from the engine.
Is this something to worry about? Truck is still under warranty; should I take it to get it checked? My truck is 2005 F-150 w/ 4.6, 6,700 miles on odometer.

Alternator possibly. There are several threads regarding this. Try this thread. I had mine replaced under warranty.

No clue how much one is without looking it up.
If you have warranty left, have the dealer check it out. I had my dealer service call the dealer mentioned in the thread I linked. They isolated the noise to my alt. and changed it under warranty.
