429 balancer
Pulley grooves are actually cast into the balancer? no bolt-on pulley... Hummmm. that's new to me.. lol I'd say try finding another one off a similar engine... Or convert to the bolt-on pulleys, which I think would be better, as they wouldnt put as much load on the balancer to make it slip... (common sense? I dunno.) Best of luck to ya!

The balancer has two grooves in it that run the alt.,the pulley for the power steering does bolt on.I have this motor in a 77 highboy and eveything of the car worked perfect so I would like to keep it like it is if possible.Changing over to the other style I would have to change the water pump and all the other pulleys and maybe the power steering brackets.

once again, I'd suggest finding another one off a similar engine.. maybe at a swap, probably in a junkyard. Otherwise, check your local parts houses and mechanics, try and find someone locally who would be able to repair it.. Once more, best of luck to you..
