expected power/power range?
here's the plan:
460 bored .030 over, polished rods, risers removed from crank, crank .010 under, ARP rod bolts/rods resized, TRW flattop pistons, 92 cc heads, 2.08/1.6 valves, 3-angle, street port, 218 @.050 cam, edelbrock intake, 750 cfm edelbrock carb, stock exh manifolds, dual exh w/ flowmasters or glass packs, and k&n filter.....just want to know what to expect out of it....
thanks all
(this'll be replacing the 429 in my 78 bronco: 9" total lift, 39" M/Ts, 4.56 gears.............)

If you run flattops with 92cc heads, I think your c/r is going to be around 8.5:1. The 460, like most internal combustion gas engines, is somewhat of a dog under 9.5:1. TRW (now Sealed Power Speed Pro)and others make forged, domed pistons that will bring your c/r up to where your planned mods will make you grin.

the TRW flat tops i found have 19cc cups...i compared them to Keith Black 15cc cups, which advertise 9.2:1 with 92cc heads....KB 22cc cups advertise 8.8....i figured the TRW pistons will give around 9:1....also, the heads and block will probably need resurfaced....there is some pitting on the deck surfaces...how do i know if there is too much??
what i forgot to add is i want to use 87 octane without problems....
and what to do about heads...do i need hardened seats??

If the heads are off a pre-74 engine (which they probably are not, due to the larger chambers) you should install hardened seats... But, since they are probably later model heads designed for use with unleaded, you shouldnt have to... they should already be in there...
Best of luck to ya.
