My 06 5.4 has a slight hesitation when accererating during highway speeds. Is this normal for these trucks. It feels like it dies for a split second then comes back to life. This is my first F truck, just wondering if anyone has any info. Thanks
that is the famed throttle lag...since these trucks are drive by wire...it takes a while for the truck to realize you want it to get going. A tuner like the edge should improve this tho.

There is a pcm update that will help. It won't cure it but it sure helps. My 06 had a really bad hesitation at highway speeds the dealer reflashed the pcm with a update and really helped it out.
medic92 you tha man, my 04 has done this as far as I can remember, I just accepted it as normal and punch it about 2 seconds before I plan on passing someone but now I'm going to get reflashed.
I have an 05 and it had the terrible lag when I tried to pass. I took it to the dealer and they reflashed it, no more lag. Later I bought an Edge tuner, and there is seriously, no more lag!
did the dealers charge you guys a full hours labor? My local dealer is saying he can't even tell for sure that a flash would do anything but "it might" and it would cost 102.50 for an hour of labor.....does that sound right?
