'75 460 Transmission Options

I am looking at buying a 75 460 out of Lincoln Continental to replace my 85 300 w/ NP435 tranny. Will my NP435 bolt up to the 460 or will I need a new bellhousing? I know the 300 has the same bolt pattern as the 351w. Also, what else might I need to change for the swap? Thanks for the help!

They have differant bellhousings im pretty sure, the 460 has the same bolt pattern as the 351m and the 400 so

What about a 429 - am I going to run into the same problem?

yes the 351m 400 429 and 460 all share the same bell housing bolt pattern. the 302 351w and 300 share the same pattern if you want to keep the tranny you have.

I just want to get this straight, I CANNOT use the bellhousing from my 300 on the 460?

Another question, can I use the same mounting points on the frame for the 300 with the 460? I know the mounts are interchangeable between the 460 & 300, but wondering about frame location.
