I recently picked up an 08 F250 FX4 long bed 5.4L and love it, I traded an 05 F250 SD FX4 longbed and it rode like a lumber wagon. I have not changed out the 18" contis yet, but for now the ride is definitely better. As for the 5.4L my mileage around town is about 11.6 MPG and I am desperately searching for options to increase the mileage.
Thanks again guys, but reading your responesee bring up another good question, What does the stabilizer package do? sounds like it would be a good thing, but MMAxed says it makes the rider worse, not picking on you max just completely clueless about what it is supposed to do?
I'd have to look it up again but the packages adds a stabilizer to the front or rear, don't remember which, and the heavier front springs. It's function is to reduce body roll when cornering. The salesman who I worked with said it helped alot when towing and it may. I just know that the one I drove without that pack rode better than the ones with. Better shocks should help either way, but in my experience stiffer sprigs ride stiffer unless you are comparing to way too soft a spring that is bottoming out.
HHHMMMMM well I corner more than I tow but am wanting the most capable truck so dont know. Does anyone have thiis package and can let me know what it does?
mmaxed tanks for your help I really do apprecaite it.
