New Complete EFI7.5L Engine Through Ford Dealership

I'm in the process of getting prices for my 1990 Bronco project.I've been to three Ford dealerships that were of no help.I wanted to get the price(and part#) for a new/complete EFI460 engine thru Ford-you know-like a service replacement-but they all basically said you can't get one.(????)I know SVO offered a 460 production bare block(#M-6010-A75) for $495,but that's just the block.Besides that, they don't list it in the 2001 catalog....so I guess they sold out.I have access to a used(136,000 mile)EFI460 from a '90 F-350 pickup,so I could always buy that and tear it down for a complete re-build,but wanted to know the cost of a new 460 vs. going this route. Thanks in advance.

well, what you may need to do is get a long block from the dealer and get all the efi stuff from an efi truck. might be a lil more expensive that way, but that may be the only option.
hope this helps and good luck

Sadly, I don't think you can get a new production 460 block anymore. I don't know if they scrapped the tooling, but I think they quit making them. They do still make new aftermarket blocks including the aluminum and the siamesed bore iron block.
