rocker arm conversion??

On my journy to acquring hard parts for a low-budget 460 conversion in my 1979 4X4 Supercab....this is what i have so far.A 1970 lincoln 460 with squre bore intake & holley carb & a 1977 1-ton van 460 with a spread bore intake & Motorcraft 4350 carb.
I'll be using the '70 460 bottom end with the '77 heads to get
9.1-1 comp..& of course the rear sump oil pan off the van 460.
First...am i going to have a problem with the rocker arm & pushrod geometry?? Which ones do I use??
Second..intakes??I want to put together a daily driver & tow rig with econemy ( if thats even possible with a 460).Holley's are great carbs, but gas mileage is not there middle name. The Motorcraft 4350 reminds me of a Quadrajet(sorry Ford guys) which I'm familer with, sec.air valve and all.Are they "OK" carbs??If i choose the 4350 carb,I'll be committed to using the spread bore intake. The cam i'm going to use is a Doug Herbert...lift .500-in .525-ex,dur. 275-int 285-ex.Thanks everybody for your time in replying.

Post rocker arm conversion??

I'd use a pushrod length checker to be dead certain of the rocker arm geometry. Pushrods too short or too long are guaranteed to ruin your day.

That sounds like advertised duration on your cam. I'd make sure as a 235 degree @.050 range cam is pretty radical in a heavy, big tired 4x4. You need high RPMs (maybe 3,000) to get into the torque range of 275 degrees in a cam.

Sorry, no familiarity with the 4350.
