wheel bearings 'done'..HELP

wheel bearings 'done'..HELP
What would be the simplest way to determine if wheel bearings were done?? My truck was to have had both sides done a few weeks ago at a shop...but Im starting to have second thoughts that they were done!!! Im not to much in the 'know' regarding this department. I was told when I received the estimate that they have to be pressed on?? Would the needle bearings be also replaced when doing bearing 'service'??

how much did they charge you, the needle bearings do not need to be pressed in (i used a piece of pipe and tapped mine in) and the bearing is a torrington B-2110 and theres one per side
the bearing is about 8 bux each
