84 302 engine vibration?

84 302 engine vibration?
my brother in law has a 1984 ford f150-302 rebuilt the motor and it has a bad vibration?? he thinks maybe -flywheel/flex plate or harmonic balancer-they were off diffrent year truck-I got 2 old trucks-1987 and 1994 302- will the harmonic balancers and or flex plates work off them???-trying to help him out and save him a few bucks!!I was not around when he did the re build but it has been 2 years since and he is starting to get worried-I figure it must be external problem-since it has been 2 years and motor is still together????

There are 2 different setups for the 302. I cannot remember the exact year they changed, but some are 28oz off-balance and the others are 50oz off-balance.
Mixing these together will indeed cause a bad vibration.
Do you know what year the crankshaft is? You will need to know which crank the engine has, to be able to know which balancer/flexplate combo is needed.

yes the 84 is carb and the 87/94 are fuel injection-does it make a difference???am not sure on the crank-my nephew put the pretty one on it??? hey chrome don't bring ya home!!! it looks real pretty though?? yuck it runs like an old beeper on vibrate mode-my sister may get pissed if I figure it out-she drives it a lot! I wonder why???ha-ha-ha!!!

hey if anybody has a good bed in the Maryland area they need one of those also-all my ford trucks are 1987 to 1994!!! theirs is rusted!!!

as I said I'm a 1987 -1988-and -1990-1994 man got 4 of them on my yard-I just love older fords-damned shame the ones I have are fuel injected-don't know d**k about it-learning fast though-at $85.00 an hour for shops-I'm learning real fast!!!

does any body have a ford casting number reference???so I can check this stuff out??? beginning to be a major P.I.T.A- the s**t we do for family!!! oh well that is what were here for ?? right???-any ideas??? hey bronco chris still no clue on how to join???in-site on this!!! don't mind joining if it will help others!!!
