Hey folks,
New to the group, can anyone tell me what the stock compression ratio, torque and horsepower specs are on a '75 460...or maybe where I can find them? It came out of a motor home and it is going to go into a mustang I have. I know its not a truck, but I've searched the web and nobody else around has a forum or group that can hang with this one!-Joe
According to the source book I'm looking at,it depended what 1975 model the 460 was put into. One rating was 215@4,000rpm,the second listing was for 218@ 4,000rpm,and the third listing was for 220@4,000rpm.All are listed as having an 8:1 compression ratio. This book doesn't list torque ratings, but I remember seeing it listed in another source book.I believe it was in the 357-365 lbs.-ft. range @2,400rpm.These were SAE 'net' ratings. Hope this helps.
