i was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of getting a chip and exhaust for my truck. Its a 2003 7.3 powerstroke dually. Its all stock. I dont have a alot money but who does lol
Here we go again, this might start a small civilized encounter/battle. But I have the MBRP exhaust, a 4 pos chip from Tony Wildman (www.totaldieselperformance.com). First things you should do before the chip are gauges (EGT & boost at least), exhaust & air intake. The chip could run your EGT's high and you need a way to tell your brain to tell your foot to get off the throttle.
i would think that you mite want to get a new intake first before adding anything a cheap intake is the 6637 air filter if you do a search on here you'll find it to be very easy and with the exaust i have strait piped with stacks but ive been hearing alot of people like the MKO exhaust or the MBRP. before the chip tho i would suggest on gettin gauges like Rich said if your adding more power to your truck you want to be able to monitor what your engine, turbo is doing. but for the chip i have the dp tuner and love it had a superchip tuner before but nothing can compare to dp-tuner
Be careful what intake system you choose, make sure it filters up to, or beyond, factory specs! you dont wanna get your turbo dusted! two trusted intakes are s&b and the 6637 with a pre-filter from user f-250 (pete) do it right and get gauges first. Tuner should be among the last things you get.
