fuel milage
i have a 2000 f 250 7.3, and i the milage just seems to be alot worse now especially when towing. if i tow my boat for 2 hrs at highway speed i burn about 3/4 tank it is killing me, any advice to improve it.

If you mileage has fallen off sharply, you may have a fuel leak. Check the engine bay for fuel smell and look under the truck for signs of fuel coming out of the fuel drain line. O rings are common to fail and cause fuel to leak. Other causes would be boost leaks, hubs locked, brakes dragging, driving habits, tire pressure, winter blend fuel, dirty air filter and I'm sure there are more, just can't think of them now.
