428 CJ mustang or the like? It used the side pattern instead of top/bottom pattern.

On that note I got the headers that were salvaged from the PYP for one of these FE builds. The unused gaskets from the Felpro kit are an ok match to the heads exhaust. The ROL exhaust gaskets.. OMG.. that would be murder!! As for the relation to the headers... HOLY **** !.... Think the unused set are much better starters.. as the port size is WAY closer. The top side needs some work on the headers to make it work.

The stock exhaust gaskets aren't even a decent match to jack ****.

Kinda what I thought, but not sure. Reading from the car site, I thought some had a few verticle bolts also?

Could also fit GT390's. Looks like some off brand though missing the top & bottom vertical holes. Ebay em!!! You can at least get $100-$150 for them without trying.

There should be a tag welded on it some where, giving MFG and PN if it hasn't been removed. If they fit a PU I may interested, if the ports are large enough for Edelbrock AL Heads.

Yea, "should be" but I seem to run across many that never had any sort of ID tag or numbers. Hedman's usually have the numbers stamped into the head flanges, if at all. My tri-y's on the Ranger have no ID whatsoever.

I believe they used those headers on cars with FE's. The diagonal bolt configuration was easier to get at.

Actually the staggered bolt pattern is because the 390GT and the 428CJ motors used different exhaust manifolds (no log style manifolds for the factory hot rod motors) that require that bolt pattern.

I believe those are 428 CJ, the GT390 should have one set of vertical holes at one end. Or something like that. I know one was 14 bolt and the other 16 bolt???

Funny you say that bec. my motor isn't a 428cj, mines a 390. Those are FE specific headers. The only way to find out what heads they came off of, is to get the cast number's, your'e just assuming they came off a 428 cj. Not to be rude but that's my honest opinion.
