Hey guys, the picture that 53 OTM posted for me is from the Ky Motor Speedway in '06. Our club drove the parade lap for the Nextel Cup Ford Tough 225 race. My father in law found the magazine for me, and I had my wife scan the pics.
The red 56 at the bottom is our presiden't truck, and it's the one they made the Danbury mint '56 off from. He has the first one, and it's #1 off the line!!
You can barely see my roof about half way back in the top picture. We did this in '07 too, but have had no luck in finding the pictures on the net of the event or anything? Anyone know how to find it for us? The name of the magazine it was in is Inside the Oval, it's a Ford Racing magazine.
That race coverage is awesome, seeing all those trucks lined up year after year! Year and a half ago the KS chapter FTE was part of a promo shoot for Ford. I have to brag, I, my truck, and my wife were in the film, she was even give a sound byte! It was awesome to get to be a part of what Ford is doing now even though my truck turns 58 next month!
that would be dangerous to let an ex-racer like me on a race track in anything !!!!! im sure i would've left there with a case of wall rash on the passenger side of my effie or whatever i was in !
Thanks 55 F350!! But I was really seriously asking if any of you guys remember being there and recognize your trucks? Mine sort of stands out for now, but there was a guy who I met in TN last year that said he was goin to paint his truck just like mine so I dont' know if he will or not?
More than anything else I was just so happy to finally learn how to post pictures!! Soon I'll have an avatar up too! I talked to Roger, and he said he'd put mine on for me! You guys are just the greatest!!!!!
The pic of SY's open house had some trucks there that I've never seen at the Supernats, so I thought that might be some of you guys?
Here's another shot from Sy's open house. The reflection of a wheel in the picture is my little bro's 66 Buick Convertible wheel, and the camera took a picture over a picture.
GOD bless

Terry,
Thats a great double exposure!! Here's my favorite double exposure, this was taken over 20 years ago while we were taking the car out to the strip. I'm the squirt on the left.
Blue,
Yea somehow a pic of the engine of the 55 got superimposed on the pic of us shaking hands in front of the car. At the time when we got the film developed I was pissed and almost threw the pic away, I'm sure glad I didn't, its one of my favorites.
Here's another pic of our entire set up. I had a 69 F-250 that I used as a tow rig.
What cool photos!!! I raced in 1977 and it was on the ''BRICKYARD''. My buddy's and I drove to Indy and it was announced that 400 plus horsepower could race on the track. My photo is in my PLY***** Roadr***** 6pac and whaen the starter car left the track --I went crazy and blew by most everyone ,and would not leave the track!!
Long story-short-----I got escorted off the track by the flag car,and was yelled at for not conforming!! I was 17 and very excited and some guys actually blew up their cars on the track because they were over-excited and had steep gears. I had stock 4;10 dana and when I got over a certain rpm--woulfd throw her in neutral and still fly by others........what a memory---soon as wife figures out how to post--I will show the photo. In fact afterwards,a guy with a superbird wanted to trade me even up----and like a dummy--I said no----cause I built my ride, and wanted to make sure I would make it home ok..........Superbirds today are big money!!!!
I never saw on-track pics of effies on the track---very cool!!! Bill
