I kept AMT in business from '60-'64. I had at least 100 models in my room and cabinets full of spare parts in marked boxes. I entered them in all the shows. AMT were the only ones we bought. Monogram was horrible, and Revell made some nice Gassers (Stone, Woods & Cook). I think a regular model ran about $1.50 and the "3 in 1" models were $3.00. I did the yardwork every week and my Dad would take me to the 5/Dime to buy whatever AMT car was new. My first AMT was the '32 3 Window 3 in 1 because my Dad had one at the time.
Good Memories.
My Kids were crazy about the 1st generation Transformers. My wife and I had the foresight to keep all the original packaging. When they outgrew them, we re-packed them and put the in our attic. It looks like some of them are becoming collectable. Even some of the parts.
