Arnt we so lucky.

Boy it seems like anymore to find a used 99-2003 with the 7.3 is about like finding a needle in a haystack. I have been to about every dealer around an have not found one in site. I have checked dealer websites. Private ads. None Nada. Oh I take that back I did see a dually 4wd with one. But duallies are not real big sellars. Its kind off nice to know that if i want to sell my truck. I can do it in heartbeat. Superdities in general good used ones are arare commodity in most Ford dealers lots. Even new ones are a rare commodity anymore. I know one think in checking the Dodge an Chevy lots as well they have way more new inventory off new trucks then Ford dealers do. By far. If your a Chevy or a Dodge person the chances off finding a new or used truck in there lots is much better then in the Ford lots. You might have tom order one or they will have to get one at another dealer. So what are you guys seeing in the area around you. Anything like this.

There seems to be quite a few here in Ohio and Indy area. Some go for a premium price also. About six weeks ago, one was in the adds, like mine only with an auto trany. with 169,ooo miles was asking 10,500 for it. It didn't last long .

There's a few around here in CO but not like when I bought my truck in Oct. 2006 - I got it from a Dodge dealer and at that time there were 3 other 7.3's on their lot, and plenty others around town. I haven't seen a 7.3 on their lot in 6months...and mine isn't ever going back!

Took me 3 months to find mine, and San Diego has lots of vehicles for sale! Lots of lifted and abused 6.0's and 6.8's, but almost no 7.3's. When I did come across one it was well used (and abused) and they wanted way too much, until one day...

Bought mine in early September. Build date is July 19, 2002, only 3 months before they switched to the 6.0. I'll never give it up!

Around here (NC) you can't find one. My husband wanted one and it seems like every time one came on the market it was gone! Gas engines all over but Diesels no way.... We wanted the 7.3 and 7.3 only..... Apparently everyone else feels the same way.

Yah I think most dealers have a waiting list for the trucks. If a 7.3 comes in an alot off them never hit the lots.

There is about a dozen or so within 50 miles, I kinda wish I had waited instead of getting this one now... A good one goes quick in this area, prices from 15-23K, there was a nice 2000 SC 4x4 40K for 20K great deal if you ask me minus setting alot for 8 years.

Here's a link to over 200 of them within 200 miles of Riverside, CA. Notice, these are all 4 wheel drive. And, there are a few 6.0 tossed in as well. The screening process of autotrader.com, just allows 8 cylinder, and diesel as key words.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...dsfyc=&systime=

You may have to take a trip out here soon (but it's not all bad, it these are all original So. Cal trucks, they won't have any time on salted hwys)

Good luck,

Richard

The dealer I bought mine from usually has a handful of them on his lot. He deals with the repos from some of the local banks and specializes in trucks. I'll have to drive by one day and see whats sitting in the lot.

I searched for 7 months to find mine. I looked from northern California up to Washington and thru to Montana. I really wanted a regular cab, long bed, 7.3l, 4x4. Settled for the super cab.

I love my truck!

There are quite a few around me. I think the people and the used lots are catching on to what we already know. The 7.3 is quite a bit more than the same year chevy and dodge.
