Can anyone out there tell me what these plastic (and broken) hoses do? I need to find a new set...QUICK! That all came off my 90 F-150. Changing the valve cover gaskets and when I lifted the assembly with the ignition coil up the first hose broke. I broke the other 2 myself trying to get the thing back into a less stressful position. Or does anyone know of a fix?! Long shot I know, but I can't be the only one thats broken these things before!
Thanks guys. I knew it was vac, i just didn't know what it controlled. I'm going to the yard today, if I cant get it there I gotta buy it. I need the truck tomorrow.
That pest tubes in the wall they are putting in new houses have hard lines that are
FORD blue. Usually they leave lots laying around or if you see a pest guy ask if he
has any, as long as it isn't punctured to emit the poison they work great for small
vac lines and match pretty good with ford blue. I have used silicone hose to fix
breaks in those hard plastic lines before and actually the one going to the climate
controls is still band aided with a 4 inch piece 4 years later!!

I agree, I replaced all mine with silicone 8 yersa ago and never had a vac leak again also cost was way cheaper than new plastic. I found that those things like to break if you look at them wrong
