getting new

truck tomorrow 95 ford ranger ext-cab

3.0/auto

pick it up tomorrow morning at 8AM

sold one of the 4x4's and now i need to get another one, called the guy tonight and just plain told him "I will buy it for your asking price if it runs at all"

well turns out he is getting all kinds of calls because his price is cheap, and he only called me back because i didnt beat around the bush with him.I mean what he is asking is extremely fair for a nice looking truck.

I will get some pics tomorrow. best of all I get to have an excuse to come back to the site again LOL

pic coming in a minute or 2

Wreckhaul have you looked at that Ranger... I saw his ad on craigslist.. Its been there for awhile... I'm betting that he's feeding you a very large line of bull droppings... I've only bought one vehicle sight unseen, and it turned out to be 100% pure BS...

Make sure that thing can pass Aircare (or take it to Kirby Insurance in Mission, beside Safeway) and have it registered as a commercial vehicle (5001 gvw) and say f**k aircare.

From all his postings, it looks like your not getting such a good deal...

Now there is a HUGE difference between a rebuilt engine, and a remanufactured engine.

You might want to look at it, drive it before you toss LOTS of cash at this one..

jan 12 - price $2200
Needs new tranmission and wheel alignment. Has 380km but engine rebuilt in 2003. Green exterior, canopy, seets 5 people. Still runs but needs work soon. Must sell now. Call Chris at 778-xxx-xxxx $2500 obo. Make me an offer. One owner and all reciepts. Must sell now!!!

Jan 15 - $800
Can drive it for now but needs tranny and wheel alignment.

Jan 21 - $1000 (price is firm)
Needs tranny work, but can still drive around town, aircared till 2009, Remanufactered engine in 2003

Jan 25 - $700
High km, remanufatered engine, kind of a beater will let go to the first $700, without canopy

thanks for the post agent 069.

I will only get a 1 day permit instead of a 3 day now LOL.

he didnt mention the tranny issue to me.

aircared to 09, saving $200-$300 on tow charges to get it home (hopefully)

I will get the tranny done if need be, the guys at work have 2 of these a 94 and a 97, both ext-cab.hard enough to find a aircared pickup for that price, if the body is straight as it seems in the pic I will be buying it.I can get parts at 47% discount from Lordco now too.

All I need to do is get it home

pickapart has a 3.0 ranger with a standard tranny if it comes down to it. Ive gotten clutch packs for auto trannies for under $100 in the past, yeah its a big huge PITA but I can drive it for 3 months to a couple years and probably get back what I paid for it, even if i factor in $300 for the tranny which is higher than I expect to pay.Cant really depreciate anymore right LOL

Sounds good, as long as you know what you're getting into.

WreckHaul where is home now? If your set on getting it, and it isn't driveable for long distance, rent a car hauler trailer from UHAUL. Be a hell of alot cheaper than a tow truck.

700 shizzles isn't much for a vehicle nowadays. if it can drive the length of itself its worth that.

depends on how many $$$$$$$ are gonna have to be put into it... Sometimes it is worth it, and you luck out.

I lucked out with the Ford, but I also put another $500 into her, but I got super lucky.

Its funny how you can do more research on past adds and find more problems. A truck like that is still pretty cheap if you have to put a tranny into it, if you can find a good cheap used one.
