Removing C6 Tomorrow
Ive searched the sites past postings and there seems to be some disagreement as to removing the crossmember or not. I'm getting ready to remove the transfer case and trans tomorrow. My plan is to remove the transfer case, the unbolt the bell housing, put a jack under the engine, slide the trans back, drop the front, then out. Is this a good plan?

Thats right on. You must remove the crossmember. It cant be done with out doing so. Sometimes a little persuading with a BFH is necessary. Hit it! Assuming its either a NP205 or 203 both are real heavy. Just be careful not to drop it on yourself.
