Is it flashing a code when you start the truck? I have a '99 that had a problem, & the light would flash 3-7. Took it to the dealer, who said I needed to replace the "side airbag". My truck does not have side airbags.
I then found on this website that the cause was a loose connection under the passenger seat. Now, whenever someone in the backseat kicks it loose, I just play with the connection & it's fixed.
