No Heat! Please Help!

2003 Ford Excursion 6.0L Turbo PSD. She puked yesterday, then started running hot. Then started blowing cold. I just changed the thermostat and the heat is still blowing cold after engine is at operating temp. The new thermostat is operating correctly. Not fluid on floors, not steam in windshield so I don't thinks its the Heater Core. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

feel the 2 black hoses going into the firewall with the heater on high & see if they both get hot if not check that valve in the one hose & see if its operating correctly thats a good place to start.

Did that and they both seem to be warm. When the truck was idling with the heat on high, it seemed warm then I started driving and it got cold.

Check the degass bottle again, that sounds like low coolant.

Its full as well. Could there be an air bubble in the system? What else should I try?

I've been trying trouble shoot this all day. I took it for a little drive. I noticed it only over heated at high speeds (60 and above), but at lower speed (below 60) she ran ok, still no heat, but warmer than 60 and above (it is just blowing the outside temp). Fill the fluid back up and no change. Haven't noticed any leaking (running or not) No smoke out of the tail pipe, choking, sputtering, or any normal signs of a gasket. Made an appointment with the dealer for monday. I'll let you guys know what they say.

Have you checked your oil for antifreeze? That would be the only other way that i know of to see if the head gasket blew.

I checked the oil, really dirty alittle brown'ish, but not anti freeze smell. Dealer was supposed to flush the fluids 2 weeks ago (bet that didn't happen from the look of the oil).

If the oil is a light brownish color that means you have water in the oil. But if it looks like new oil then its probably the water pump.
