Truck today.... oh yea...well its new to me but I have known the previous owner...Its a crewcab F250 4x4 V-10 Lariat with Leather, pretty sweet ride.
i will get some pictures of it posted very soon.
Scottie I like the red sled, got some more pic's of it? Anyone else for showing off there rig? I can see the small pic but with getting older the eyes are not as sharp as they use to be...
Well I sold....ahh maybe I should say found a new home for my old tru..err baby , and at the same time got a new member for FTE and the Kentucky chapter.
I feel good about who I sold it to. He seemed really happy about the truck.
Kinda sad, I will miss her, she served me well just like a good Ford should, and should do right by her new owner.

I really like your Red Sled. Well, maybe bcuz it's a twin sister to mine. I have a 96 7.3 PSD, same color but mine has a black box. I also have stacks that come up and angle backwards. This is a number of firsts for me:
first diesel
first truck with stacks
I will prolly leave it outside since it smokes so much when I start it and the garage is attached to the house. So my concern is the open stacks and the water that is likely to go into them.
I have two washer fluid jugs I keep around just in case it sits for a couple days in incliment weather. If you look in my picture of all the trucks together you can see the caps I made. I don't worry much about rain, but my exhaust isn't welded, just clamped, so I'm sure the water can get out if it wants LOL. I do cover the stacks in the snow, mostly because the truck sits until the snow melts and I don't want that stuff building up in there. The stacks have only been on a few months, so you're probably as experienced with them as me. She is going into the body shop tomorrow becuase somebody decided to pull out in front of me,only minor damage though. Luckily for me because I got her stuck in a field and the bumper got a little tweaked when she got pulled out, now I get a new bumper!
I noticed the jugs (nice jugs....) in the pic but didn't know what they were. I think I'll do that to mine. I gotta tie some lanyards on them so when I forget they're there, they won't get lost. Not sure how far they would get launched. Hmmm. wonder what would happen if I stuck a couple of punkins on them....
I haven't crawled under the 96 yet so I have no idea how the system is configured but I've wondered about putting a drain of sorts on the pipe underneath. After all, with no muffler, I wouldn't have to worry about an exhaust leak getting the attention of some noise **** cop.
With better weather coming, I'll be doing some things to it.
The truck is from New Mexico and hasn't a spot of rust on it. I plan to oil the heck out of it when the weather gets hot. I'll spray lots of linseed oil all over the underside of it, which will passivate it and keep it from rusting.
I'm also going to be checking the GPR and plugs. It's a bit hard to start wehn cold, without the block heater. With 200,000 on it, I bet it needs plugs.
Thanks for the scoop on your jugs.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I loaded some pics of it in my gallery. I'll also load some pics of the 97 when I take them. It's kinda gnarley.
