Hearing this crap makes my blood boil.
I've had 2 cars stolen and never recovered (which was fine because I didn't want them after being violated) '68 396 SS Chevelle (not a numbers car, but it was great car. I was in love with that thing) and an '84 Trans Am with a Corvette LT1 small block. Both cars were taken right from under my nose. ARGH!
About 6-7 years back my neighborhood was hit with a rash of car breakins and tire slashings (my car was hit 3 times!). A few of us got together and started a night watch. It took about 2 weeks and I caught the little creeps. I only had to spend the one night in jail so it was well worth it. We never had a problem again.

Just yesterday I went to Rockford Ill to pick up a plow for my truck. Coming back I stopped in Indiana at a truck stop fueled and pulled up front to get a snack. I should say that I was parked next to a police car, apparently he had a hard time getting out of his car. I went out this morning did a couple things and washed the salt off my truck from the trip and noticed 3 chips in the passenger side door. Who do you call that in on?
