Well,...group,..thanks for all the comments about me getting my plugs changed by the dealer at 74,000 for $350.00 last tuesday. Well,....I left for Bakersfield to go duck hunting on Tues. night with the motor purring,...and was trying to get back to Ojai Calif. this morning on an alternate route as the highway 5 and all normal routes back to Ojai are closed because of snow!!!
I was on rt 41 near templeton at 6:10 AM and hit black ice on a bridge and rolled that bitch 7 TIMES over and over for about 180 feet!!! came to rest upright with both front and left rear wheels ripped off, all glass broke out and majorly FU**ED UP!!!! Cal trans was sitting right there when it happened and couldn't believe I only had bruises and minor cuts on top of right hand!! The "OL FORD sure came through,..I honestly thought I was dead (seriously) all I could do was hold my breath, shut my eyes, make myself as small as possible (I'm 6'6" and 310)!!!! I literally thought to myself CHRIST!! nascar doesn't roll this many times!! I will be getting a new 150 4 wheeler. Does anyone know when 2009's will be available?
Man, that is horrible!!! Glad to hear that everything came out alright. You sound pretty lucky to be even able to plan on buying a new truck, and not looking for a wheel chair instead or worse.
Wow...glad to hear you are alright. It's amazing how fast things can happen. I can only imagine how the truck looks. Glad the truck did its job protecting you!
you know you hear of these stories like this where people walk out of the wreck with out any problems and it just goes to show how strong and safe this truck is.
Thank the seat mount bolts. I used to be an EMT and when responding to multi roll accidents we would usually see that the seat had stripped out of the bolts and ejected the occupant. If the victim survived the ejection they usually didn't survive the car rolling over them. Glad to hear you're OK.
exactly my thoughts on the seat bolts,...I'm 310 6' 6" and was sure glad the belt held me!! the air bags did NOT deploy but I never hit my head on anything amazing!! I will be posting pic.s once they let me I don't see why the sight won't let me post?
Wow, Fantastic that you made out so well! The truck can be replaced, it has already done its duty protecting you! This is incredible to me, and makes me much more prone to buck up, although I've fought it for years. Glad you made out so well, and the Best of Luck with your next new Ford. Uh, just lets try to keep this one right side up!... (Chuckles)
