I just received the Dieselsite filter kit the yesterday and plan on installing it this weekend. How much coolant loss can I expect when I cut the hoses? Is there a way to minimize the coolant loss? Thanks in advance and sorry to hi-jack this thread.
Remove the pressure on the system, by cracking loose the radiator cap. Tighten it back on.
Then raise the hose to be cut as high as you can with a small towel underneath. If you have your new hose and tee ready, you'll probably not loose more than a tablespoon.
Thanks for the order,
Bob Riley

Your welcome and thank you for offering a great product and excellent service.
Thank you for the installation tip!
I kept coolant loss at less than a teaspoon w/ a buddy. Having someone holding the hoses at an angle while you cut and taking the pressure of the system like bob stated put my total loss right at a little less than a teaspoon. Awesome product and really easy to install
hey guys looking at doing this mod but was curious if any body has a pic or can tell me where the filter and bracket/housing mount. There aint alot of room in that thar engine compartment.
