Tuner question

Hi im just wondering can A sct x-cal be used on two different trucks? ive never used one before & my dad just got one, its real tempting to try & use it if possible.also his is an 05 mine is an 04, thanks.

no you can't. they are vin locked if using custom tunes. You may be able to use canned tunes though. not sure.

I think whenever you switch vehicles, you have to unlock the tuner. After 5 unlocks, you have to send the tuner back to SCT to have it reset.

also it can only be used on one truck at a time since the tune that is in it now is factory from your dads truck and thats all you would get from it

Thanks guys, that takes the pressure off of me doing it until next year when the warranty is up. sure was tempting me, that thing just sitting on the bench.
