Seems like you guys are pretty helpfull so i am going to ask for help. Just got into my 2004 f250 and I love the power but it seems that i am only getting about 14 mpg. I am just getting into all of the diesel stuff and I am not sure were to go next. The truck runs fine not alot of smoke and shifts great. Can you guys make some suggestions. I am 100% stock right now. and 112,000 miles
sounds good to me..
what model is your truck ? cab? 2wd or 4wd? lifted/lowered ? auto/manual ? longbed/sb ?
i have a crewcab 4x4 lifted and i've been getting 10mpg since i bought it. it now makes twice the HP it used to and i still get 10mpg...
there are a few that get close to 20 , but i'd say you are doing better than most.
do you know the status on the fuel filters. how fast do you drive. tuner may help, since you're already out of warranty....unless you bought an extended warranty.
03 KR Crew 4x4 shortbed 3.73s with stock sized tires and I get 15.1 average. Mine has 60K on it right now. Bone stock. I use PS at every fill.
That 15.1 is empty...full...pulling a utility trailer...not pulling a utility trailer....it just doesn't change. 50 mph on rural roads or 80 mph on the interstate....it just doesn't change....and I hand calculate.
