You need tp test the resistor that was suggested to you earlier. The resistor control the speeds except high since that is straight "full" voltage.

Where do I find the resistor for this function? All I have is a mess of cut wires and crap from the first four owners!!! Err I hate dealing with chop jobs wil be glad when I get to do the wiring .

As you can see in the above picture it is right above where the passenger's left leg would be. Very easy to see once your down on the floorboard looking towards the firewall. Just test for ohms between the contacts. If you get 0 for all figures you'll need to replace it. Very easy and not too expensive.

so......if you have a low out put heater you CAN NOT swap the larger heater and make it work??? Correct? I live in a "cold climate" and i need to replace my core. I figured I might as well do the larger core.


What say ye? Sounds like you can't swap to the bigger core???

change the resistor and THEN you can use the bigger core? Hearing you right?

did you see the resister block in your heater box? check their thats what makes your different speeds for your fan

Yes you can swap out the heater cores. The LO box will need a plastic piece trimmed off th fit the HO core into it.

no clue but could not find it with the sponsors so LMC got my buck!!!! Catalogs need to be easier to use online or I will not order from them.

I agree although I haven't really used LMC that much. I will look up the parts in their catalog, find out whatever term is used to describe the part and then look for it elsewhere.

BOTP is one of the worst websites, so is AutoKrafters.
