One dim headlight.....

This isn't in my truck but in an old Buick I have. It runs 6 volt and I replaced the drivers side bulb and its dimmer than the passenger side. Any ideas.

Buddy I'd have to check my grounds first.

you either have a bad feed wire or a bad ground. Try scratching around on the light housing and touch a know good ground to the cleaned off housing--no paint or rust make the metal shine. It that don't work ck. the hot wire feeding the circuit and the connector terminal in the wire

Check to be sure that both lights are of the same voltage, I once mistakenedly put a 24 volt haligon bulb instead of a 12 volt and it was half as bright as the 12 volt.

I still agree........ You either don't have a good ground, or not the correct voltage.

I assume they were equal in intensity before and, that the problem isn't what caused you to replace the bulb in the first place.

First look for any obvious things that compromise connections. Dirt/Corrosion etc. 6 Volt systems need to be as resistance-free as possible.

As previously mentioned, I would hand jump a wire to chassis ground and see what happens. Then, I would check voltage at the socket with a VOM (or whatever).

Lastly, if the wiring is not Parallel but in Series from the Pass side to the Drivers side, you'll be dimmer on the Drivers side.

Good Luck

I'm with the "bad/no ground" folks...look specifically at that light and see if the ground wire (usualy will run out of the socket and to the inner fender panel) is broken/etc).
