429 Vs. 460

429 Vs. 460
Friend of mine has a block crank and heads for a 429 and a 460 hes asking 130 for either one of them. i looked over them no cracks in the blocks on either one. so i cant decide. what do you all think? i've kind of always wanted a 429 but i dont know why.

429 Vs. 460
Get us some casting numbers to go by, and get back to me.
A 68-71 429 is WAYYYYYY better than a late 70's & 80's 460 IMO.

The casting numbers on the block are right above where the starter goes
The casting numbers on the heads are above one of the exhaust ports
Take a wire brush in case the are covered up with dirt and grease
