Friend of mine has a block crank and heads for a 429 and a 460 hes asking 130 for either one of them. i looked over them no cracks in the blocks on either one. so i cant decide. what do you all think? i've kind of always wanted a 429 but i dont know why.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-Jan-02 AT 10:55 PM (EST)]Personally i would go with the 460, like they say theres no replacement for displacement. What years are they from. I would be interested in them if they are 69-71 blocks, have the heads on them, and close to my present location of south Texas

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-Jan-02 AT 10:34 PM (EST)]The 460 and 429 blocks, and heads are the same so look on both for #s
The casting numbers on the block are right above where the starter goes
The casting numbers on the heads are above one of the exhaust ports
Take a wire brush in case the are covered up with dirt and grease
