Is this normal?
Is it normal for the converter lock-up to be delayed when the fluid temp is cold? With temps in the low teens to single digits. I can drive 3-4 miles at 55 mph before it will finally lock-up. When it does it seems slowly slip into lock-up. Fluid and filter only have about 10k on it and when it was changed everything looked real good in the pan. This is the first winter that I've had this truck and was just wondering. Thanks to all.

Yep, perfectly normal. My truck still does that in the stock setting on the chip. Flip to any other setting and the T/C will lock up as if it was warm.
Ford designed it that way to warm the trans faster.
