You could try something like this:
Sunsei 6W Solar Panel

Using one of these will keep the battery from going dead while sitting for the month. The only thing is that you have to have a 12v plug that is live when the ignition is off to be able to plug it into. The 12v accessory plug in the 97s do this. Also, keep in mind that you do not have 24 hours of daylight, so the solar charger has to be able to replenish 24 hours of lost power within the available daylight time. Ten hours of daylight at the 400ma this unit is rated at will replenish 4 amps per day.

Thanks for the suggestion. Sorry to threadjack, I was just trying to find out what is normal drain for the factory CD Changer with power off. I am not to concerned with the RICP drain as it is low enough. I do think that the 120 mA that I see to the changer is too high. Where could I find the specs for the Changer?

There is nothing in a CD changer that would require current when the ignition is off. 120 mA of current drain from the CD changer is 120 mA too much. Good luck!

I don't know about the CD changer draw, but the Ford spec for the total draw on your battery at rest is < 50 milliamps.

What part of "the CD changer should have no current draw with the ignition off" did you not understand? The total draw specification will take all available options into account.

The manual states:

"Check for current drains on the battery in excess of 50 milliamps with all the electrical accessories off and the vehicle at rest." (Any typos are mine

I assume the 'at rest' means after the GEM module and the CTM have shut down the delayed circuits. There is no mention of any execptions for any options.

Thanks for the clarifications Jim and John. I thought I had seen the < 50 mA spec. before. Anyone with any Better Ideas regarding service or replacement of CD Changer?
Thanks again

It's from the Ford DVD. It's stuck in my DVD drawer and I can't get it out or I could tell you the version number. But I use it so much I haven't bothered to try and figure out how to extract it.
