ain't technology grand? i could think of better things to find with a detector other than 2 bodies. we don't get any big slides around here, but alot of avalanches around fraser/carcross area. no deaths yet.
you get mud slides and avalanches? remind me not to visit. lol. i would like to head that way one day. every year i go on a holiday, but usually head to edmonton or grande prairie to spend my $$$
I do believe the slide your talking about with the unlucky couple was just out of Terrace.
The road was closed for about a week, and was quite a panic in Terrace, cuz the road to Rupert was closed with fludding, so no goods in to town. We even had to get stuff barged up from down south into Rupert. Good thing we have the "water" on our side.
Yep, always rock slides in the 3 valley gap area. Lived in Calgary for a few years and drove to the Vernon often. folks lived there
That's right,Three Valley. The wife had a good experience through there one night.Ended up with a flat tire, and nearly a punctured fuel tank. She hit the rock's after the slide,I was happy to hear that.No injuries though, that was the main thing.
