Crankshaft Damper Alignment
I have a 1986 F150 with a 302ci engine ....... I recently developed a vibration in my engine which I found out was the crankshaft damper's outer ring had come loose ......... I found a replacement rubber for it and now I need to know how to align the outter ring with the inner hub in order to return it to proper ballance. This engine has a 50 oz externally balanced damper and im sure if I put it on wrong it will vibrate even worse than before .... What I'm asking is where does the TDC timing mark on the outter ring go in relationship to the keyway on the inner hub?? ...... I would really apreciate some help with this.
