It's stock, no tune... Just the mods listed in my signature. I hope to get my "test pipe" (cat-delete) in over the weekend to see if the EGT's reduce appreciably.

Are you going to weld it in place, or just use clamps?

They are a commanding force. I'll have to post new numbers once I get the trailer behind the truck on the same hill (at posted speeds). My 8500# loaded and wet toy-hauler, wife in front (yes, she stayed) and the two teen boys in the back should make the truck at least clear it's throat a little!

Life is full of choices...

Going to clamp it... It's a "test pipe" after all. SoCal fascism can be very damaging to one's wallet and freedom... I'll keep it in a defensible "test" installation just in case.

Talking The Big Brown Truck came!

I just got an email notice that my new toy was delivered! Now I can run double MX6's in the front!! This too, was a smokin' deal from a great guy in WA state... Shipping costs included it was still less than any local source I had, and WAY less than any other quotes I received. To respect the forum sponsors, I'll not post the business name publicly. PM is still cool.

Feel free to share your readings, ya' all!
Looks like you were heading up the Cajon Pass.

Nope... I was past Alpine, CA on I-8, East bound... It flattens out there for a bit, but then climbs again. The "TOP" of the hill is about 30 miles farther up.

Just the cat. I have a noise aversion... If my truck is too loud, my wife makes noise about it! Besides, I have a very sharp lookin' muffler!
