Got the new DP Tuner installed today (s, 80E, 40-60-80T, 120R). Read all the hoopla and all I can say is these guys were not lying about the "ear to ear" grin! I had it. Thanks to Dennis at ITP for the great customer service.
I drug my feet for about 1 1/2-2 years and just got the chip yesterday. It's like a whole new truck. Very responsive, barely have to give it any "gas" coming off a red light and it accelerates like a gas engine. I was goofing around yesterday in a parking lot and I laid about 100' of rubber and chirped the tires shifting into 2nd gear (F250, 4X4 CC, auto, 4" lift, 35" tires, beefed up tranny). Going to Vail, CO Friday. I'll post some fuel mileage numbers when I get back.
When I first put mine in, I pulled out of the parking lot looking like someone just learning how to drive a standard (mine is an Auto... LMAO!!), and made it to the first light. When it turned green I punched the pedal like I always did and dang near ran up the back of a car. The difference in pedal response is amazing!! My truck feels "broken" in stock mode now.
So what's the one to get? (s, 80E, 40-60-80T, 120R doeasd't tell me anything... sorry, little lost...)
the numbers are HP increases The letters following the numbers stand for S=stock, E=econo, T=tow, and my favorite R= Race . Ohh almost forgot there is a 140 EX (extreme) and Lope (lope idle)
each F-5 chip can hold up to 16 programs, but you can get as few as 1. it is custom programming for your vehicle. call the man (Jody Tipton at Dp) and tell him what you want your truck to do.

I agree, Jody's great to work with. Even goes as far as to think of the terrain you live in (hills, flat), seems kind of simple, but counts for something. It's more than just a chip, it's a whole process of thoughts meant to make you grin.
Dang. Why can't i even roast the tires/chirp them going straight on dry pavement without powerbraking? Ive got a whole bunch more crap than you do (To the OP btw), and i can't even chirp my 35s
Just got back from Vail 1500 miles (highway). I was getting 12 mpg pre DP Tuner with cold weather city/highway. Best I've ever seen on relatively flat road trips was about 12.9 mpg. After 1500 mile trip I averaged 16.3 mpg. I would have been satisfied with a 1 or 2 mpg gain, but a solid 4 mpg? That's remarkable.
