Man, learned a lot on this stuff today- that insight on clouded plastic lenses
is very interesting, and with time as the cars age, is going to get a lot worse.
I too flash people, and more often than not they flash back, letting me know the brights were not on! Now i now the reason- used to think the lights were mis-aligned or had too much stuff in trunk....
Looks like I was wrong about Blu-Blockers; they do have a neutral density tint. Their description says that all their lenses have at least a neutral density gradient that's heavier at the top. That's what you want in a pair of sun glasses, but probably not appropriate for night time driving.
I wear some pretty heavy prescription glasses, so the only thing I can use are those that are big enough to cover them, like the "Star Shield" However, that model looks like it has a uniform neutral tint throughout. Time to find a pair of amber shooting glasses.
