My 2000 f-150 xlt cloth trim drivers adjustable lumbar is inoperative. it is the type with the wheel you spin on the lower side of the seat to adjust firmness. You can tell that it just barely changes firmness from a totally unscrewed wheel to fully tightened.
Is this a relatively simple fix, or would I be disassembling seat cushions etc. and wishing I had never even tried to fix it? It was a nice feature when the truck was new and it worked OK!
hi, i too have the same problem it gave way and on lifting the covers i found a broken weld on the mechanizm. to lazy to do the repair so it will stay busted, shame as it made for a good position for comfort. bokker.
hi Ron its some time since i looked at the broken seat so if my memory is correct it was a spring bracket that had snapped off the main tubuler frame.
it was a two minute look-see and all i did was pull the back cover up again i think there were velcro tabs to pull apart. bokker.
