Question New window felt/adjustment

I have installed new door window felt on my 77 ford p.u.
The windows are now soo stiff that I have a hard time rolling them up.
I have tried adjusting the window rails (the 2-bolts on the door opening and also the 1-bolt that is part of the vent window rail).
Are there any other adjustments? Or do the window felts need to "break-in"?
Also, is there some type of lubricant that can be applied that won't ruin the felt?
I should also mention that I have also installed new vent window Rubber.
Maybe the vent window rubber is not allowing enough adjustment?
Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for any comments.

The windows should go up and down quite freely if installed properly and the correct parts were used

I don't see what I could have done so wrong.
Maybe the rails are bent? But I don't see how.

It may not have been your doing it sounds to me as if you just have a tight fit. It maybe the brand you purchased its mold or material its made of or how cold is it there rubber gets stiffer when its chilled. So mabey some break in time is needed. Something I would try is to roll the window all the way down and try to spread apart the rubber strips by squeezing them induvidually with your fingers and if its cold try to warm them up with a low heat gun or hair dryer first.

Do you think it is the felt or could it be the position of the vent window (possibly got shifted back) making it tight - i.e. the squeeze is on the width of the window, not the thickness of the felt squeezing the glass?

It seems that when rolling-up the window, the window gets caulked (not straight). In other words, the window seems to want to "jump" from it's track.

The window coming up slightly ****-eyed is normal and a Ford regularity.

It's because of the design of the regulator torquing it that way.

Who did you purchase the felt kit from ?

Make sure new seals a fully seated in the channels.
The most probable cause is the vent window is not fully seated to the door. If you took thee vent windows out it is very hard to get the vent window pulled back into place with those three small philips head screws. The screws can be tight and the vent window be slightly cocked and binding the glass going up and down. You have to loosen all fasteners and reposition vent window and channel and retighten all the fasteners while checking by rolling the window up and down.

I bought the same seals and have had the same problem. The product from LMC is junk IMO. I have tried several different items to lub them so they would work but no luck. I would just junk them and spend the money on a better made product.

I bought a enough rubber stuff to do my crewcab from Dennis Carpenter and it all fit perfect. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

I just ordered the vent window seals and anti-rattle kit from dennis-carpenter. Very expensive, but will be well worth it if it fits right.
