Nah, i'll kinda keep it on the DL until it's done, similar to how Michael did it. I know its killing you not knowing, but it's killing me even more knowing, but patience is a virtue as they say, right? WTH is a virtue anyway?
Edit- Ooh a poll.
Did you see that i got back into my RC hobby that i had as a little boy before i got my truck? Ive spent alot of $$ on that and that's the reason why it's pushed back to where it is now. It's a bad little ***** and it would look cute down in the engine bay! (oops did i give it up?)

We don't need no stinkin' rods. We need tuning, and INJECTORS. I am betting on Hybrids. Of course they will have to be bigger than mine. We'll see how that goes if indeed that is where he goes.
Kris, I kept mine on the DL because of what I am going through right now with #4. I'd rather just post what I got and how it works. I was a victim of something that has yet to be determined. Besides, it is so much fun dropping a bomb on you.
He sure has got a funny way of saving for that house he wants to buy for his sweetie! Heh, heh, heh.
Kris, though I know she may read this, I'll say it our loud anyway: THAT can wait! Years! Maybe a decade. Ask your dad. (Just not when your mom's in the room!)
Kris is smart enough to know if he's going to add any serious horsepower, he'll need those rods installed. If he gets the engine that far along, I'll bet he at least re-rings it, too.
But for Dog's sake's, kid, don't think of gettin' a six-oh. Even the Chevy diesel guys know they lift heads "for a living".

My take: Kris is going to bite the bullett and go big. He'll have the rods treated to withstand a little more HP, install head studs, valve springs, pushrods, and maybe a girdle, but I'm not really feeling the girdle. The first upgrade after the engine get's put back together (which may or may not be the current one in the truck - building a spare and do a quick motor swap) will be one of the new Stealth HPO systems. Some SHO B-Codes will be going in later on down the road. Since the Stealth will the the HPOP he uses, there will now be room for the twin chargers. Not sure on the charger choice, but my guess is either a GP38R and a GT42 (proven, and he knows it) or a TN drop in BB with a larger TN along the lines of a T80. I think he'll go with the TN setup though, since he's already got the drop on, just needs to upgrade it to the BB version. Targe RWHP ~ 550-600 on fuel only, with excellent DD behavior, and he'll achieve it with this combo.
That's the ultimate plan. But the first thing he'll drop on us is the motor build.
Mind you, I honestly have no idea what he's doing. That's just a WAG.
