Boost and cold weather?
Can cold temperatues increase boost? Today it was about 11 degrees out and noticed that on the highway boost was hitting 20psi when it normally used to run about 10 - 11 psi. I have an Sct from Innovative running an aggressive street tune with all of the rest of the truck being stock. Thanks, Chris.

I think colder air does increase it a little but I think that since it is colder the fluids in the moror tranny and differentials are thicker so the truck has to work harder which equals more boost.

My 05 did the same thing the other day when I was running on the freeway, running 18psi boost when normally runs about 10psi. I need to put my cold front back to keep the engine temps up, then it runs like normal and my milage comes back.
