V6 mileage

To all those that have a V6 4x2.... What kind of fuel mileage are you getting in your truck? I'm lucky to get 15-16 on the highway. I do drive a little quick, but I dont hotrod it or anything. When I bought the truck over a year ago, I expected to get around 18-20 on the highway, as thats what I got in an 03 V6 that I drove before this one.

I now wish I wouldve bought at least the small V8, but now I'm too upside down to do anything right now.

I avg. 15-16. Maybe 17-18 on a long hiway trip. Guy

15 to 19 with the 5-speed.

I average 17-18 with a combo of city, highway. Mostly city. 5speed, 3:55 rearend

Thanks for the replies. I normally drive around 70 mph on the highway, and still only get 15-16 mpg. I wonder if its just my driving style, or if theres actually something wrong with my truck...

I have always averaged on the high end. about 19-20 hiway, 17-18 combined.

Note- winter is generally a little lower.
