does any one know if a hood from a 1963 effie will fit a 1979 effie or atleast how much modification is involved i like the slope of the early 60's hood better then the late 70's the other option i have is to section my hood trying to avoid that though.

No idea if it'd work, but it sounds interesting. Take out a measuring tape, and consider the hinges and latching mechanism. Also, weld up the seam on the front of the hood. (If there is a seam.)

get the plasma cutter and tig out...you'll definitely need it

 

thanks guys now the trick is to find a hood from a 60"s truck the ultimate goal here is to have this all done a painted by hot august nights in reno that im hoping will be the maiden voyage then the following year i want to run it in hot august nights in LA our effies deserve a place in those shows.
