What is the name of the part that goes between the front stabilizer bar and the lower control arm. This part looks to be about 6"- 8" long and connects the front stabilizer bar to lower control arm. The bolt or connector broke on the top and I need to know what to ask for so I can replace it.
Also has anyone replaced this part before and how does it rate in terms of difficulty. The truck is still drivable but there is a wobble.
sway bar link. End links. either will get you what you need. Basically it is just that, a long bolt with bushing, washers, and a spacer. It's very simple. Probably the easiest suspension repair to do. You don't even need to jack the truck up. Though you may need a friend to lift up with a little pressure on the bumper to flex the suspension to line up the bolt.
Thanks CougarXR02,
Hopefully I can get the parts this morning and get it replaced. Its a good thing we didn't get the ice we were slated to get. It was hard enough to keep from wandering on wet pavement, ice would have been almost impossible. The head of the bolt snapped off sometime this past week, hopefully the bottom part won't be too difficult to remove.
