460 questions...
alright, I have a 460 in my 78 F-150 4x4 with 36" tires and a C-6 with a B&M shift kit. The 460 is out of a 77 continental, I think it is rated at 212 hp and about 350lb. of torque.. but anyway i am rebuilding it.. I am boring it .40 over and using the rebuild kit out of summitracing. I will have the heads rebuilt, I am using pete richmond timing gears, I have an offenhouser port o sonic intake and a 750 eldelbrock and would like to get a set of headers... it has a 3in. exhaust and one chambered flowmasters... I am wondering what cam I should use and still retain the stock torque converter? I want it to have a noticable lope to it.... and what do you guys think the horsepower will be at after this???
